Website Operations at Scale
When I took over web operations at LV Collective, we were managing ten-plus property websites with no standardized process, inconsistent design across sites, and a development partner relationship that needed rethinking.
I led the RFP process to select a new web development partner, ultimately bringing on Q-Burst. As part of that transition I produced a 150-plus page functionality specification document covering design and functionality specs for every block of our website template. That document became the foundation for every site we have built since.
From there I managed the migration of all our existing sites to the new platform while simultaneously overseeing the build of six new property websites. I manage budgets across all web projects, lead all communication with our development partner, and provide ongoing support across domains, hosting, and technical integrations. I also manage a full-time employee who leads the design side of the work. At any given time I am coordinating across marketing, development, and brand stakeholders to keep multiple site builds moving in parallel.
Standardizing our template and streamlining the process cut the cost per new website by 75%. Page load speeds and core web vitals have improved dramatically across the board. The new builds are cleaner, leaner, and built to scale. The system I built is what every new property site in the portfolio runs on today.
